5 Coupon Inserts This Week 09/13/09

Wow this week 5 yes I said 5 Coupon inserts!!!! I have never seen 5 in a Sunday Paper before.
Some of the sales aren't great but you can save for another time.
If you miss the Sunday paper, your paper might do what ours does. To increase sales they now have a Sunday Paper box outside their office. You can get the Sunday Paper every day of the week. I love this feature and it's half off so you save money. Thanks to our Paper I never have to miss it again.

# 3 Clipping Coupons

Lets start with some lingo that can help you when on coupon web sites.
Once you get the hang of what it means it’s a snap.

BOGO - Buy one Get one Free

B2G1 – Buy two Get one Free

CRT - Cash Register tape or Receipt

CAT or CATALINA – the coupon that spits out with your receipt

RR or REGISTER REWARD – Walgreens form of a Catalina

PEELIES - the coupon found on the package

IP - Internet Printed coupon

RAIN CHECK – When a store is out of the sale item, get a rain check so you still can get the sale price when back in stock.

IVC - Instant Value Coupon from Walgreens

OYNO - On Your Next Order

WT – Wine Tag, coupon found around the neck of a wine bottle

STOCKPILE – Multiples of the same item

UPC – Bar Code of item

OOP - Out of pocket - The amount of money you spend

There are more but these will get you started.

I went to CVS last week and did pretty good Receipt says Today you saved $193.15 and oop is $ 2.69 I was soooo happy but also mad at myself. I mad a boo boo. On my Pantene I had a coupon for $ 2.00 Full & Thick Plus one for Pantene styler or Treatment FREE wyb any Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner.
Well I bought the Shampoo and Conditioner so I thought you could use $2.00 Coupon plus get FREE treatment at same time. Nooooo you Can’t. They are both Manufacturers Coupons.
So I lost $ 4.00 Because she did the treatment coupon first, so with a big line behind me. I did not make her take off the treatment and the coupon so I could use the 2 $ 2.00 coupons that it refused to take.

So as we go along I will be making mistakes too. If you have any mistakes you want to add fell free to add a comment. I would love to here them plus we could all learn from them.

# 2 CLIPPING COUPONS

Okay now that you are a little familiar with Coupons. We will start by going to Taylortown coupons. COM. Print out his currant list of coupons this week only Procter & Gamble will be in the Sunday paper. Usually there are more like Smartsource and Red Plum.

Since you are not going to get those this week go to Smartsource.com and Red Plum. COM. Print out all the Coupons that you want remember to compare them with your flyers you will get tomorrow. You can print them more than once. Always try to stack a coupon with a sale this is called stacking when you use your coupon with a sale. You can also stack them with store coupons. Say you see something you need in
Rite aid and Rite aid has a coupon use that coupon with your manufacturers coupon. That’s called double stacking triple stacking is when it is on sale plus there is a store coupon plus a manufacturers coupon.

Also buy one get one free B1G1 free is great if the store has a sale B1G1 free sale and you have a coupon B1G1 free You now can get two items for free because they work together. Always check store Coupon policy to see if you can do this most stores allow it. You can find the Coupon policy online on the stores Web site.

Wait for your Sunday paper and then you can start. I look at Cvs, Walgreens, Rite Aid, first. Then I look at grocery stores, then Walmart and Target. If you don’t get flyers you can go to their web site.

Check back often I will have more ways to Coupon. Also if I can figure how to put Web sites I will give you a few of my favorites.

#1 Clipping Coupons

Start by buying about four Sunday Papers. Now you need a filing system.
Either in a small file box or you cut out coupons and file by product. Like soap, toothpaste or laundry soap. They make special coupon holders for cut coupons. You can get them in Wal-Mart, but get the long one because a lot of the Coupons are longer than the short one. Folded coupons make for a mess I know I tried that way first. If you don’t understand let me know and I will explain to you.

My favorite way to file Coupons is to put them in a clear file box. With hanging file holders, you file the whole coupon insert from the paper by date. Write the date on your insert and on the file tab for quick access this will save you lots of time. I have both systems because after I go to the store I always end up with cut coupons I couldn’t use. There is always something they didn’t have or the price was too high so it wasn’t a good deal.

Next go to Taylortown Coupons and sign up for his newsletter he emails you what flyers are in the papers on Sunday. His email lists every Coupon in each flyer. This is very use full and a bigggggg time saver. When looking for a Coupon you can scan his list to help you find it faster.

Get started Colleting your Coupons and organize them so you can find them very quickly. Your cut coupons as you end up with more will always be a problem. You have to not only file them in a certain way but also keep track of expiration dates.

Now in your paper should also be your sale flyers glance at them to see if there is any thing you need. See if you have any Coupons to match what you need. That’s a start I will give more info very soon so check back very often.
